KITE   Forster

The Forster has been around for years and is Kite’s most popular instrument. It is the faithful workhorse of many ornithologists all over the world.

Considered the big brother of the Kite Petrel and Pallas, the Forsters belong to the new generation of nitrogen waterproof roof prism binoculars. The extremely bright images are derived from the latest technologies and are specially balanced out to deliver good all round colour saturation across a wide range of ambient light conditions. Some important features are the Kite 67 layer coatings on the prisms, the complex multi-element eyepiece design and the Aspheric lenses that reduce aberration. Another aspect that distinguishes the Forster from the Pallas and Petrel is its depth of field. DOF is sometimes a forgotten aspect, but should always be taken into account when choosing an optical instrument for birdwatching.
